High school diploma or G.E.D. Successfully Completed IAAO courses 101, 102 and Commercial Data Collection or the ability to complete these courses within 1 year of employment. Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all certification requirements relative to the position. Must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license.
Job Objectives: Ensure the accurate execution of the collection of data, inspections and valuation of commercial real estate property in Reno County for ad valorem tax purposes. Assist in planning and organizing work assignments; collection and analysis of statistical data; report writing and quality control. Essential Job Functions: Comply with all countywide and departmental policies and procedures. Participate in annual 17% review of commercial real estate. Inspect and appraise new construction, remodeling, alterations and repairs of buildings and other improvements within the county. Assist in verification of sales information and the development and maintenance of sales data files. Assist with all levels of the hearings process. Participate in annual final review of all parcels. Update Orion data collection cards to ensure information is current. Other duties as assigned. Operate all job-related machinery, equipment, tools and other aids as required, necessary, or needed in the performance of these job functions. Data Entry of commercial real estate property.
