High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Minimum 1-year previous experience is desired. Possess a valid Kansas driver’s license preferred. PERSONNEL ACCESS REQUIREMENTS KCJIS Policy & Procedure Section B 1.10 • Shall be a US citizen and be at least 18 years of age. • Shall be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a named-based record check before employment is offered or before job duties are assigned that might expose them to KCJIS-sensitive information. • Shall be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a fingerprint-based check within 30 days after initial employment or assignment and before unconditional employment is offered. Individuals who do not meet the criteria specified in Part II, Section B, item 1.10, and could be inadvertently exposed to KCJIS-sensitive information, shall be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a named-based record check prior to access being granted.
Job Objectives: Assists in maintaining Reno County owned buildings by keeping them neat and clean and by being observant, recording items needing repair by the maintenance technicians. This part-time position acts in a supportive role to the full-time crew and may or may not include all essential duties below depending on departmental needs and current job assignments. Essential Job Functions: Communicate and works as a team member in a professional, respectful, positive, and constructive manner. Dust chairs, tables, shelves and other furniture and equipment. Wash windows, walls, woodwork, blinds, etc. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, replenish supplies such as paper, soap and so on. Vacuum, sweep, mop, buff and shampoo floors as directed. Place hazard signs to warn public of possible slick floors. Report items needing repair such as lightbulbs, doors, etc.
