Candidates should have a considerable knowledge of arts, humanities, and culture programming, and public engagement. Ability to work courteously and effectively with public and all partner agencies and stakeholders. Requires efficiency in time management skills, the ability to plan ahead and to organize responsibilities on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. A bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one or two years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Organize and manage arts, humanities, and cultural programs/events for the residents of Hutchinson and Reno County Propose, monitor, and assess budgets for programs/events Research local and regional history in arts and humanities Write grant applications and administer grant funding Assist the Director of Community Events in ensuring continued arts and humanities programming during Third Thursdays, Farmer’s Market, and other cultural events Assist the Director of Marketing & Development in the promotion of programs/events through publications, website, and social media platforms Solicit sponsorships for programs/events Additional duties as assigned
