Qualifications:

High school diploma, Vo-Tech or G.E.D.

Responsibilities:

Job Objectives: Assist in maintaining county buildings by completing various facility maintenance and miscellaneous tasks in support of the Maintenance Department. Groundskeeping tasks may be a large portion of assigned duties during the growing season. Essential Job Functions: Operate lawn mowers, snow blowers and related equipment. Provide assistance to the Purchasing Department by delivering supplies to various departments, picking up supplies, etc. Patch damaged drywall including taping, mudding, sanding and painting. Replace light bulbs, ballasts, electrical switches and receptacles. Service and repair small equipment. Assist with remodel projects. Paint or stain rails, partitions, doors, walls, trim, furniture and fixtures. Assist other technicians with various projects as assigned. May perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and other equipment. Complete routine work orders as assigned. Must maintain an active cell phone for use on the job, as a condition of employment.

Other Information:

Shall be a US citizen or Non-US citizen that must be able to perform the work in or for the United States. Shall be at least 18 years of age. Shall be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a named-based record check before employment is offered or before job duties are assigned that might expose them to KCJIS-sensitive information.
