Greater Hutch and the City of Hutchinson were honored to join a delegation at the Midwest-U.S. Japan Conference in Tokyo and Osaka in September alongside Lt. Governor David Toland, Team Kansas, Greater Wichita Partnership and Kansas Commerce officials as one of 10 Midwest states promoting locations in the US for new investment. Greater Hutch was honored to coordinate a visit to the headquarters of Takako Industries in Kyoto, one of Japan's leading manufacturers of precision machine parts, which operates three global production locations, including their Takako America headquarters in Hutchinson, Kansas. This trade mission is part of our economic development strategic priorities to expand high wage jobs and further strengthen important international business connections for investment into the Hutchinson region. Attending on behalf of Greater Hutch were Katy Fallon, Project Manager, and Enrico Villegas, City of Hutchinson.
