Two years of experience in refrigeration-air/conditioning repair work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. Transcripts are required for education to be considered. Valid Driver’s License at time of appointment.
Provides preventive maintenance, repair and diagnostics of Uninterruptable Power Systems (UPS) at each of KDOT’s 800 MHz P25 tower sites located across the state. Provides preventative maintenance and repairs for the heating/air conditioning systems located in communication site equipment shelters across the state in order to control both temperature and humidity. Performs routine inspection and repairs of the KDOT tower site facilities. This includes proper signage, grounding, fencing and other items presented in punch list reports. Provides preventative maintenance of standby power generators located at communication tower sites across the state. Performs technical repair of the 800 MHz P25 system in all districts, as necessary. Documents actions taken regarding repair or adjustments made to any equipment or the system. Participates in a variety of special projects/tasks as designated by supervisor.
