Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or a closely related field with similar technical and computational emphasis preferred. At least 2 years of experience in a similar profession involving data analysis.

Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position, under general supervision and/or as part of various workgroups and teams, the analyst performs the following essential functions within the framework of Reno County’s provision of the core functions and essential services. Collect, analyze, evaluate, and disseminate data: Produce key reports, data briefs, and/or other data/information resources. Establish and implement methods needed to conduct primary and secondary data necessary. Develop analytic capabilities Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets. Support internal agency efforts to analyze pertinent system: Support the performance management system, Provide support to staff with Reno County, Support department quality improvement efforts. Identify data needs and resources needed to support data requests. Provide support in development of measures for the plan. Help identify information gaps and resolve problems to promote implementation of the plan. Provide data visualization and presentation of analytical findings as requested or needed. Participate in ongoing decision-making concerning data collections, study design, methodology, and data analysis. Related Work or Duties as assigned. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management. Comply with all countywide and departmental policies and procedures. Contribute to Quality Improvement initiatives and performance measurement systems. Coordinate with other agencies and institutions, particularly in the development and process of special projects. Provide direct services if needed in program areas. Keep Director informed appropriately, regarding unusual or significant matters.
