Position Requirements: 1. B.S. degree in environmental related field preferred. 2. Registration as a Kansas environmental health sanitarian desired. 3. Computer literate. 4. Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all certification requirements pertinent to the position. Certifications / Licenses: 1. Must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license. 2. CPR training preferred. 3. Maintain Registered Sanitarian CEU’s, as required. 4. Participate in 2 Continuing Educational Opportunities annually in the area of onsite wastewater, wells, nuisance complaints and/or job specific training.
Job Purpose and Objectives: Ensure enforcement of the Reno County Sanitation Code through the provision of education, inspection and technical assistance services. Conduct inspection of: water wells, wastewater, water borne illness and sanitary complaints.
