Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree of Science from an accredited university with major in business, public health, public administration, Leadership/Organizational Systems, Community Development, Planning, Public Administration, Transportation, Business or related field required. Master’s degree of Science from an accredited university with major in business, public health, public administration, Leadership/Organizational Systems, Community Development, Planning, Public Administration, Transportation, Business or related field preferred. Ten years’ experience in public administration and/or public transit management may be substituted for education requirement.
The Director coordinates and administers all affairs of the Departments of Aging and Public Transportation in compliance with all policies and regulation determined by the Reno County Board of Commissioners and as otherwise provided by local, state, and federal law. Assures a work environment that enables staff members to function at their highest-level. Provides structure, policies and procedures that yield productivity and performance efficiency utilizing ongoing evaluation and analysis.
