Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Youth Coordinator to lead and inspire young people within our community. As a Youth Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of empowering youth through innovative activities, mentorship, and community outreach initiatives. Duties Design, implement, and oversee engaging youth programs that promote personal growth, leadership, and community involvement. Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and youth mentors to ensure program success and sustainability. Develop marketing strategies utilizing social media platforms to increase program visibility and participation. Coordinate public speaking events, workshops, and outreach activities to connect with youth and community stakeholders effectively. Collect data on program outcomes to evaluate impact, identify areas for improvement, and prepare reports for stakeholders. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently to ensure smooth program delivery. Lead fundraising efforts by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors. Provide guidance on substance use disorder, public health topics, or prevention when relevant. Facilitate training sessions for staff and volunteers on topics such as leadership development, social media management, and program development. Maintain administrative records related to participant attendance, volunteer hours, and program activities with accuracy. Requirements Proven experience in volunteer management and supervising teams of youth or adults in community settings. Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently. Demonstrated success in program development, project management, and marketing strategies. Experience in data collection methods and analyzing results to inform program improvements. Proficiency in social media management tools for outreach purposes. Knowledge of prevention, public health principles, or substance misuse practices are highly desirable. Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to motivate others and foster teamwork. Experience in fundraising activities including proposal writing and donor engagement. Solid administrative skills with attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting. Ability to recruit participants effectively through outreach initiatives or teaching experience is a plus.
